What is CCMS (Child Care Benefit – CCB)?

CCMS is a payment made to families to assist with the cost of Child Care. Families can choose to receive CCMS through:

  • Fee reduction or
  • as a lump payment at the end of the financial year.

CCMS helps create a more affordable system of childcare. It supports workforce participation, respite and developmental care for children whose parents are not in the workforce.

The rate of CCMS is determined by the DEEWR and is applicable from the first day your child attends the centre providing you lodge your application within seven (7) days of that first day.

The Government produces information on this in various formats and the schemes do change from year to year. We suggest that you give them a call for further information.

The Government makes changes to the various schemes throughout the year so the information above may have changed since being put on this site.

How do you feel about parent participation?

Families including parents and grandparents are invited to come and join in on the daily activities and share their experiences and talents within the program. Reading stories, cooking, doing craft activities etc. are a great way to teach your children. Please discuss with staff on times and dates on when you would like to come in.

Other ways you can be involved are:

  • Responding to surveys
  • Donating unwanted junk materials, toys etc
  • Helping with excursions and special events (eg Dayboro Day Floats)
  • Incursion and excursions
  • Fun days or Christmas Parties
  • Parent Committees

Staff will encourage and support children when new tastes and food experiences are introduced.

Do you have parties for Birthdays & Special Occasions?

On your child’s birthday you are welcome to bring along a birthday cake. Children love to share in the celebration with the BIRTHDAY child. Please check with staff in your room for numbers of children and if anyone has any food allergies.
